Stack of letterpress broadside prints on a print shop workbench

This was the first piece we printed under our own name rather than for a client, and it’s stayed in print since — a two-color run (ink black body copy, spot red display line) on our house Cotton Rag stock, hand-set in a mix of wood and metal type from our own case. We reprint a small run whenever the standing stock runs low rather than keeping a large warehouse of it, so the edition size below reflects one specific press run, not a lifetime total.

It’s the piece we hand new commission clients as a physical sample, because it shows our actual registration accuracy and impression depth on our own stock rather than a client job we can’t share. If you’re evaluating us for a commission, ask for one.
