Lettra is the closest thing letterpress has to a default premium stock, and Pearl White is the shade we keep on hand rather than the brighter, cooler Fluorescent White — Pearl reads slightly warmer and photographs better under the soft, warm lighting most wedding and event photography uses. 100% cotton, 220gsm (roughly 110lb cover), and engineered specifically for a deep letterpress bite; it’s noticeably more forgiving of a slightly-too-deep impression than Cotton Rag before the reverse side shows through.
It’s also the most expensive stock in our program by a meaningful margin, which is the honest reason it’s not our default — we reserve it for wedding suites and formal commissions where the client is already paying for a premium result end to end, rather than putting it under every job that comes through the shop.
